qian hu fish farm on a not-so-lazy sunday afternoon.

the crew: my very bald dad, retarded sis after a fresh haircut, my sis' friend.
no pictures of me because i went in my 'pyjamas', i barely woke up and haven't even washed my face yet.

the many many pictures of fishes ++ there's these seriously cute goldfishes which are puny and round, like ping pong balls. hahas. i don't have a picture of it but if i'm to get a fish or two, it would be that adorable fishy!
then we went to the 'activity area' where you can feed kois, catch long kang guppies and get your dead leg skin cells eaten by fishies.

we first fed the kois. they are sooooooooo greedy. they all flock to wherever there's people and they fight over the food.
and then we tried catching long kang guppies. it started out with the two little girls trying to scoop up the little fishies. the fishes are commando-trained man. they siam humans like a pro, a complete opposite of the greedy kois. so off course the little girls with underdeveloped psychomotor skills couldn't catch a thing. oh, my sis came home and told my mum she caught a fish, a dead fish. helloooooooo, it doesn't take much talent to pick out the floating corpses -.- so the girls were complaining that their little fish tanks are still empty. me and dad ended up doing the dirty job of kneeling/squatting and scooping around. IT WAS BLOODY TIRING. my right ankle was giving way. my dad caught 6 black ones and i caught 4, 2 orange with black spots and 2 white. i totally didn't aim for the colourful ones, it just happened. hahas.

a random cute kid.

came home all sweaty and had a shower. then spontaneously went down to jurong point to shop. i spent about 2 hours plus and covered only 2 storeys.
my harvest :)
from bysi: 1 dress and 1 skirt
from moonriver: 1 dress
from watsons: body lotion, tampons and foot insoles for my new boots
from pepperplus: 1 top
from thefaceshop: nail polish remover and one nail polish
+ $3.21 carpark fee = ~$130 of retail therapy
will contine combing jurong point on tuesday. heh heh.
ayg show tmr~!

Derek: I wanna be with you forever, and you wanna be with me forever. In order to do that we need to make vows. A commitment. A contract. Give me a piece of paper.
Meredith: I don't! I... I... I don't. I have post its!
Derek: (takes the post its and a pen) Ok. What do we wanna promise each other?
Meredith: That you'll love me... even when you hate me.
Derek: To love each other, even when we hate each other. (writes it down) No running. Ever! (Mer smiles and comes and sits in front of him) Nobody walks out. No matter what happens.
Meredith: No running.
Derek: (writes it down) What else?
Meredith: That we'll take care of each other, even when we're old, and smelly, and senile. And... if I get Alzheimer's and forget you...
Derek: I will remind you who I am, every day. To take care when old, senile, and smelly (writes it down) This is forever. (signs it) Sign.
Meredith: This is our wedding. A post it? (smiles)
Derek: Mhmmm. If you sign it.
Meredith: (signs it, and hands it back. Has tears in her eyes) Now what?
Derek: Now I kiss the bride. (They kiss)
Meredith: (smiling) Married.
Derek: (smiling) Married. (sticks their post it in Mer's locker) You see that? (Mer nods and smiles) Plenty of time.

awww. this is from grey's anatomy. i haven't watched the last two seasons but i have been reading quotes of the show online. i so badly want to watch grey's. do you hear that keith? hahah :D

let me just review a movie i've watched recently :)

from asianmediawiki

"Subaru and her twin brother Kazuma share a dream in becoming ballet dancers, but their passion is discouraged by their father. After Kazuma's death from a hereditary illness, dancing became Subaru's only happiness and she yearns to lose herself in dance. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she runs into cabaret owner Isuzu, who recognizes the talent in Subaru and trains her in her nightspot.
But to become a professional ballerina, Subaru has to overcome harsher challenges than merely satisfying the cabaret drunkards. Spurred on by her rivaling dance companions, Subaru enters an international dance competition, to vie for recognition and a scholarship to any top ballet company in the world.
Subaru and her companions soon discover that there are more to compete than the championship, and tests of friendship, betrayal and self-worth come one after another. Gradually the youngsters learn about themselves as dancers, as persons and as friends."

the lead actress is really pretty. i googled and found out that she's half south-american and half japanese! what a cool combination. haha. and she's younger than i am. seriously, i really feel old when the new and upcoming celebrities are younger than i am -.- the lead actor of the korean F4 is my age. the rest are younger than me. zzz.

the movie is so-so. i don't really like the plot actually. it was kind of trying-too-hard. the melodramatic parts made me weepy but i am a crybaby and it doesn't take very much to move me. anyway, nobody really watches a dance movie for its storyline. haha. the contemporary and ballet dances were very nice. the hip hop part was BLEAHHHHH. they should just erase that segment. japanese boys are cute bytheway. abit too skinny for my liking but they are very well-groomed and very attractive :) overall, the show is passable for a $6 student price ticket at cathay :x

i want to catch 'ghosts of girlfriend past'! i love rom-coms :)

i was really really down on wednesday. after rehearsal for this:

the item i'm involved in is just catwalking and posing. there's this part where i walk out alone. first eight just walking according to beat. second eight: pose on the even beats. the music has a "clap" at the odd beats. it's so bloody simple and does not even require a conscious effort to remember. but i kept messing up the posing. i was so super nervous, keep rushing and posing on the "clap"s instead. because i am the first one to walk out. so if i finished my set too fast, the rest of the catwalking will be rushed also. zzz. i was so bothered about it, i couldn't sleep and messaged carol like 2plus am to apologize for my performance.

i'd rather learn a difficult dance choreography where i can find some security in mastering the movements. for catwalk, it's just me feeling very exposed and vulnerable. i need confidence!!! :s

been watching victoria's secret fashion show online. i realised their walking is not fantastic but all the girls are gorgeous and confident. will start going for dance classes to find back my mojo. should go clubbing more often to find my sex appeal. hahahha. okay. but late nights are bad for my skin. on a mission to be fitter and take better care of the way i look :)

their hairstyles are all the same. pretty girls have long hair. as what poonie said "my friend came up with this test of prettiness– if you’re skinny and have long hair, you’re prima facie (immediately assumed to be) pretty. if you have short hair, the burden of proof is on you."

i will keep my hair long!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i hope i can start on my honours project real soon! :s

Shawty had them apple bottom jeans
Boots with the fur
The whole club was looking at her
She hit the floor
Next thing you know
Shawty got low, low, low, low, low, low, low, low
Them baggy sweat pants
And the Reebok's with the straps
She turned around and gave that big booty a smack
She hit the floor
Next thing you know

i didn't go gym today. feeling lazy. my sorethroat came on full force with the phlegm. had to spit into a receipt while driving cus i couldn't reach the tissue. zzz. decided on songs to teach! haha. it took me quite some time. trying to find upbeat song that is hiphop-ish enough for beginners. no lyrical hip hop you know. just basic groovy energetic hiphop. wholesome lyrics is a must for primary school kids. haha. will start choreographing tmr. woohoo!

coke event today. i had a hard time waking up due to the car washing at an ungodly hour. it was raining and the whole thing was postponed. we waited and waited for almost 2 hours before anything concrete happened. all in all, the dancing was fun. but not the waiting. the company is lovely but i was feeling unwell. having a sorethroat, cough and general lethargy. sigh. i'm a weakling. didn't go for danzpeople open house because it was too crowded and i'm feeling like shit. maybe i'll go gym tmr. zzz.

what an eventful day.

well, let's start from yesterday. tuition was cancelled because my kid says she need to work. good news for me cus i could hardly open my eyes from the clubbing the previous night. btw, butterfactory on wednesdays is madness. it's ladies night. free flow of housepours from 10p.m to 1a.m. the queue is crazy. i reached pretty late. and managed to get in early because i saw krystal's friend (see like previous clubbing post) whose very front in the queue :) went down to tiong bahru in the afternoon to get details about the dance teaching assignment. tsk tsk. it's kind of stressful but it'll be a great experience i suppose. been listening out for suitable songs :)

decided to go imm yesterday night just to walk around. cus i need to get my hamsters' deodorizer from daiso. imm has 3 hours of free parking, which rocks. midway, my sis asked for icecream and we went to look for mcdonald's. guess who i saw at the icecream counter? my tuition kid. hahaha. what an coincidence right. so now i know she cancelled tuition to be an icecream girl :D

today i went down to studiowu for a fashion show rehearsal. it's abit disappointing that they plan to showcase me as a model and not a dancer. i'd rather be known as a dancer :( only the elite team is in the dance items :s i never ever see myself as a model and that's why i'm not interested in joining the newfacecompetition which krystal will win for sure. hahahhaa. anyway the pictures are up and i look so weirddddd. especially the close up. eew. my mouth is damn awkward because they say i should smile but not too wide. the smile that i'm used to, they say my lips look pursed. so i was stuck looking uncomfortable. anyway "they" refer to the photographer and stylist. yar. zzz. next time my wedding photos have to look 234325435 times better.

the link: http://www.wuamplify.com/talents/

carol says my runway posing is much more confident and better than the photoshoot's :x maybe i should go take more pictures and learn to be an ultimate camwhore. haha. i should get back my dancing mojo too.

parked my car at the somerset's open carpark while going heeren for the coke rehearsal. omg. kena super alot of birdshit. went to wash car past midnight :( and i saw a small scratch at the backside of the car. must be me :((((((

having really terrible backaches the whole day from my period too :(

chong pang nasi lemak with the boys. i finally got to satisfy my craving since weeks ago :) although my stomach is still feeling uncomfortable. constant bloatedness and lausai :s

thanks guys for all the analysis and advice on whatever is happening to my non-existent love life. hahah.

on a random note, i realise that my sleep cycle revolves around the multiples of 3. i sleep around 3. randomly awake at 6plus and 9plus. i really really wake up 12p.m. need to try harder to get a healthy lifestyle! got a big pimple on my left cheek alreadys :(

been fretting over the lack of replies from my honours prof. zzz. sent out emails to other profs in case he really drops me :x sighh. i need to find a way to earn money too. tempted to take up this assignment to teach dance at some primary school. cute hor. hahas.

tuesday. brought the kids to badminton again. my right arm aching like madddd. the kids have endless energy i tell you. i think they run on nuclear power :D i ate dinner early today on my own. so that i can drive down to sheng shiong and get 14x5 packets of maggie mee for my mum to bring to malaysia for my auntie. that's what happens when you're the least favourite child. hurhur. i felt like a retard in front of the cashier, she must think i'm some kind of instant noodle junkie. haha.

peektures from facebook uploaded by krystaltangcheewei, the singapore's next top model. hahahha.

krystal in her prom dress. rachel and me! in the queue that hardly moves.

in the club. the dancefloor was still empty and we started playing the 5,10 game (whatever-it-is-called) except for krystal who was playing scissorspaperstone with herself :D then georgina came up with this pass-the-serviette game. quite retarded. haha. i think everybody was looking at us.

more photos. before we started drinking and partying :)

the music is not bad. my face was scarlettttt. i didn't get as drunk as i wanted to. but it was pretty much the most i drank in club cus i usually drive. the walk to mcdonald's and iced water made me sober up a little. quite alot of little random happenings. we were dancing at the podium under the supervision of a big big big big bodyguard. his arm is the size of my head man. no guys allowed on the podium :) guess what we found on the dancefloor?! A USED TAMPON. omgggggggg. half of the tampon is filled with bloodddd. i think rachel took a picture. will post it up when i get it. and we were like pointing to the tampon and this group of couples was nearby. one of the boyfriends went to pick it up!!!!!!! he was totally clueless and we were shrieking like crazy and asking him to drop it. damn funny. hahah. the tampon must be from one of the girls wearing skirt/dress but she probably didn't put it in properly cus it's not supposed to come out so easily. unless her hole is extra large. hahaha. or someone pulled the string by accident.

krystal has this friend. i don't even know her name. from nus stats. hahah. she kept telling me that i'm very pretty and she dances like she's on redbull. hahaha. she was humping me i swear! i had to hold her waist cus she was going to lose her balance with all the wild movements.

I'm on a high, I'm on a high

There's nothing more to it

We are the sea and the sky

And the blue that runs through it

there were not-bad-looking guys in the club. but those that preyed on us were so super cmi. there's this veryyyy short guy in orange polo tee that always never fail to appear though we keep moving in and out of the dancefloor. i was lamenting why i always attract this kind of pattern one. hahah. so sad. then got this tall guy that looks like he's still in army. and also very cmi. there's many many couples on the dancefloor, not sure if they are really together or just hooked up on the spot. but they were smooching and dirty dancing like crazyyy, including one of our girls. ahem. haha. she told me it was a spur of the moment thing and there's nothing going on between them. rightttt. oh yar, my ass got groped by this siao ang moh :(

alrightey. time to get ready for dance practice for a coke event at ntu :)

supposed to be in school for lina's dance class today at 10a.m. but i couldn't get my ass off bed. so tired. i haven't been sleeping well for days :( and my body was aching all over. monday, wednesday ayg dance practice. tuesday swimming. yesterday i went to gym in the afternoon and then dance class at studio wu. very happening huh. filling my days with activities so that i won't have so much spare time to think. it's good for health too. sadly, i haven't lost any weight but i feel much stronger alreadys :)

i think i have to look for a new prof too :x the prof that said he would take me before exams haven't replied my emails for over a month already. zzz.

looking forward to clubbing with the loveliest people around :) even though my hair sucks big time and i think no guys would even want to be near me. hahaha.

someone commented that i look better now then before, say year one. maybe i just doll up myself better :D

but i really think i look my best when i was in jc, especially j2 (: and it pretty much goes downhill from there. i was super fit then, more 2m for standing broad jump and 2.4km was a breeze. that was the peak of my dancing too. i was really quite hot. hahaha.

pictures from church camp 2005. i superlike the pictures from this particular event. i have no idea why.

the youth dancers. one of the rare occasions that i perform in church because i simply wasn't given the opportunities. what the heck. it's all in the past. SEE!!! my face so small. i think my head is like two times as big now. hurhur.

the ex-caregroup girls.
camwhore. i had the hotel room to myself because my roommate couldn't stay over. i'm not one of those girls that like to squeezeee with like many other girls in a small bed. that's why i slept alone that night. i'm not anti-social. i just appreciate having my own space :) zero make-up here okayyy.

i hope i don't get flamed for anything i post up but yar the main gist of this post is time and tide waits for no man. there are some things in life that are irreplaceable, that goes away and never comes back.
my grandma and little cousin came to our house yesterday (: brought cousin and my sis to the swimming pool today. decide not to go into the pool because i felt incredibly fat. hahas. though i think the trip would have been more enjoyable if i was swimming too. cus i'll be able to teach my cousin to swim, which he is very very keen on. and mediate their random fights. i thought we'll be at the pool all the way till dinnertime but things ended abruptly when my sis ran to me crying. she got this rather big cut on her eyelid from a scuffle with my cousin over the float -.-" i bought wan bao for my grandma on my way back :) just thought she would be bored and i remember always seeing her read chinese newspapers back at her place. there's mahjong sessions going on at my place now :) i think i'm going to be a chauffeur tmr. but momsie wants to go to lot 1, which is damn bloody near. they can just take a bus. so i might just go lancing lancing instead~!
i'm surprised that i'm rather okay after some honest revelation. maybe i've been anticipating it for a couple of days alreadys. sigh. resigned to my ill fate. thanks edmundsimpohleong for replying my smses at 5+am :)

The Five Love Languages

http://www.fivelovelanguages.com/learn.html

Words of Affirmation

Mark Twain once said “I can live for two months on a good compliment.” Verbal appreciation speaks powerfully to persons whose primary Love Language is “Words of Affirmation.” Simple statements, such as, “You look great in that suit,” or “You must be the best baker in the world! I love your oatmeal cookies,” are sometimes all a person needs to hear to feel loved.

Aside from verbal compliments, another way to communicate through “Words of Affirmation” is to offer encouragement. Here are some examples: reinforcing a difficult decision; calling attention to progress made on a current project; acknowledging a person’s unique perspective on an important topic. If a loved one listens for “Words of Affirmation,” offering encouragement will help him or her to overcome insecurities and develop greater confidence.

Quality Time

Quality time is more than mere proximity. It’s about focusing all your energy on your mate. A husband watching sports while talking to his wife is NOT quality time. Unless all of your attention is focused on your mate, even an intimate dinner for two can come and go without a minute of quality time being shared.

Quality conversation is very important in a healthy relationship. It involves sharing experiences, thoughts, feelings and desires in a friendly, uninterrupted context. A good mate will not only listen, but offer advice and respond to assure their mate they are truly listening. Many mates don’t expect you to solve their problems. They need a sympathetic listener.

An important aspect of quality conversation is self-revelation. In order for you to communicate with your mate, you must also be in tune with your inner emotions. It is only when you understand your emotions and inner feelings will you then be able to share quality conversation, and quality time with your mate.

Quality activities are a very important part of quality time. Many mates feel most loved when they spend physical time together, doing activities that they love to do. Spending time together will bring a couple closer, and, in the years to come, will fill up a memory bank that you can reminisce about in the future.Whether it’s sitting on the couch and having a brief conversation or playing together in a tennis league, quality time is a love language that is shared by many. Setting aside focused time with your mate will ensure a happy marriage.

Receiving Gifts

Some mates respond well to visual symbols of love. If you speak this love language, you are more likely to treasure any gift as an expression of love and devotion. People who speak this love language often feel that a lack of gifts represents a lack of love from their mate. Luckily, this love language is one of the easiest to learn.

If you want to become an effective gift giver, many mates will have to learn to change their attitude about money. If you are naturally a spender, you will have no trouble buying gifts for your mate. However, a person who is used to investing and saving their money may have a tough time adjusting to the concept of spending money as an expression of love. These people must understand that you are investing the money not in gifts, but in deepening your relationship with your mate.

The gift of self is an important symbol of love. Sometimes all your mate desires is for someone to be there for them, going through the same trials and experiencing the same things. Your body can become a very powerful physical symbol of love.

These gifts need not to come every day, or even every week. They don’t even need to cost a lot of money. Free, frequent, expensive, or rare, if your mate relates to the language of receiving gifts, any visible sign of your love will leave them feeling happy and secure in your relationship.

Acts of Service

Sometimes simple chores around the house can be an undeniable expression of love. Even simple things like laundry and taking out the trash require some form of planning, time, effort, and energy. Doing humble chores can be a very powerful expression of love and devotion to your mate.

Very often, both pairs in a couple will speak to the Acts of Service Language. However, it is very important to understand what acts of service your mate most appreciates. Even though couples are helping each other around the house, couples will still fight because the are unknowingly communicating with each other in two different dialects. For example, a wife may spend her day washing the cars and walking the dog, but if her husband feels that laundry and dishes are a superior necessity, he may feel unloved, despite the fact that his wife did many other chores throughout the day. It is important to learn your mate’s dialect and work hard to understand what acts of service will show your love.

It is important to do these acts of service out of love and not obligation. A mate who does chores and helps out around the house out of guilt or fear will inevitably not be speaking a language of love, but a language of resentment. It’s important to perform these acts out of the kindness of your heart.

Demonstrating the acts of service can mean stepping out of the stereotypes. Acts of service require both mates to humble themselves into doing some chores and services that aren’t usually expected from their gender. However, these little sacrifices will mean the world to your mate, and will ensure a happy relationship.

Physical Touch

Many mates feel the most loved when they receive physical contact from their partner. For a mate who speaks this love language loudly, physical touch can make or break the relationship.
Sexual intercourse makes many mates feel secure and loved in a marriage. However, it is only one dialect of physical touch. Many parts of the body are extremely sensitive to stimulation. It is important to discover how your partner not only physically responds but also psychologically responds to these touches.

It is important to learn how your mate speaks the physical touch language. Some touches are irritating and uncomfortable for your mate. Take the time to learn the touches your mate likes. They can be big acts, such as back massages or lovemaking, or little acts such as touches on the cheek or a hand on the shoulder. It’s important to learn how your mate responds to touch. That is how you will make the most of this love language.

All marriages will experience crisis. In these cases, physical touch is very important. In a crisis situation, a hug can communicate an immense amount of love for that person. A person whose primary love language is physical touch would much rather have you hold them and be silent than offer any advice.

It is important to remember that this love language is different for everyone. What type of touch makes you feel secure is not necessarily what will make your partner happy. It is important to learn each other’s dialects. That way you can make the most of your hugging, kissing, and other physical contacts.
